BOY SODA Releases New Single & YouTube Series Episode

BOY SODA is quickly establishing himself as a real force on the local music scene. Fresh from his showcase at SXSW Sydney, he’s just dropped a fabulous new single “Company.”

“Making this song was a really cathartic experience as I was basically journalling about my personal boundaries with people, and a sense of self-respect,” he explained. “I think there’s always a balance in life of empathy for others and respect for your own time and energy and learning where those lines begin and end is extremely important for your inner peace.”

BOY SODA has also recently launched a collaborative new series, dubbed SODA SESSIONS, in partnership with Converse. The series sees SODA BOY chatting and performing music with fellow artists. The latest episode, featuring Boomchild, is out now on YouTube.

I’m not sure what 2024 holds for BOY SODA, but with his talent and work ethic, it’s bound to be another big one.

Enjoy Pepa Knight’s “Company”

Whether he’s with Jinja Safari or performing solo, the work of Pepa Knight is always worth listening to. He continues the trend with his beautiful new single “Company.”

There’s something so appealing about this track, which has a modern dream-like quality mixed with more primitive jungle drums.

“This tune actually came about from a six-year long collaboration with a good friend of mine and genius songwriter Stephen Engstrom (AKA Stezrat). He originally sent me the idea back in 2010 and it only finally came together earlier this year while I was in-between mixing the final Jinja Safari album,” Pepa explained. “Now that JS has come to an end, I now have the headspace to move on creatively and excited to release more music in the near future.”

If that music sounds this good, I can’t wait to hear it.

Blueju!ce Back with “Company” Album Tour

It’s been some time since Blueju!ce burst onto the airwaves with “Broken Leg.” But now they’re back with a brand new album called Company, and a national tour in the works.

Company was released late last year to relatively little fanfare, but it has the critics buzzing. Its high energy pop tunes should easily translate to the stage. Hopefully this tour will encourage more people to listen to the disc that many believe is the band’s best and most consistent. If you still haven’t snagged the album you can purchase a digital version for just $10 when you bundle it with your concert tickets.

Young music lovers should note that Blueju!ce have announced some all ages and under 18s gigs for the very first time. If you’ve always wanted to see Blueju!ce kids, this is your chance!
