Daggy Man Announces Intimate Album Shows

Daggy Man creates low-key, intimate folk songs that speak to your heart. He’s the kind of performer that can be appreciated best in the kind of places where people are there to really hear music rather than just sink back a few drinks. So it’s exciting to see Daggy Man will play tiny little venues in the East Coast capitals to support the release of his debut album A Lazy Kind of Pain.

See Daggy Man in acoustic mode at the following shows.

11 August 2017 – Some Velvet Morning, Melbourne
12 August 2017 – Leadbelly, Sydney
24 August 2017 – Black Bear Lodge, Brisbane

Daggy Man Continues Winning Streak With “Dumb Bird”

The music of Daggy Man is just so good for the soul. I eagerly await this Brisbane singer-songwriter’s every release, and find myself falling in love with his music all over again.

His latest single “Dumb Bird,” the fourth track lifted from the upcoming album A Lazy Kind of Pain continues the trend. Just take a moment from the hustle and bustle of Friday and let its delicate acoustic strummings and gentle vocals wash over you. I know you’re going to adore it.

Daggy Man Releases Beautiful New Single “Lovers on a Hospital Wing”

Daggy Man continues to impress with the release of his latest single, “Lovers on a Hospital Wing.”

This is such a beautiful song, delicate and perfectly measured. It’s the third single from Daggy Man’s upcoming album called A Lazy Kind of Pain, which should drop in the coming months.

Daggy Man promises to play a few shows soon so we can hear the incredible music he’s creating in person.

Daggy Man Releases Video for “Little Whip”

It’s been a long wait, but some six months after dropping the single Daggy Man has released a video for “Little Whip.” I don’t think it’s a bad tactic, because it’s encouraged me to revisit this song and reminded me what I liked about it in the first place. The film clip is simple but effective, as understated as this slow-burning song demands.

While it’s taken a long time for Daggy Man to release the video, he promises he won’t leave fans waiting too long for something else new. He plans to release a new single really soon.

Thomas Calder Back as Daggy Man

I remember the first time I heard the music from The Trouble with Templeton. I was transfixed by its heart and intimacy. However, somewhere along the way my enthusiasm started to wane as the band’s sound became louder. So I’m thrilled to hear the group’s singer/songwriter Thomas Calder has emerged with a brand new solo side project Daggy Man.

With the first single “Little Whip,” Thomas has returned to his roots. The song is small bit compelling, and just beautiful. It’s our first taste of an EP which Thomas wrote and recorded while travelling around the United Kingdom earlier this year.
