Kylie Minogue is winging her way back home from a national tour this June. Kylie’s Aphrodite Les Foiles tour will take in the major capitals, starting with Brisbane on June 3.
Expect a grand spectacle when Kylie touches down. The show apparently features multiple sets, a big golden horse, and water features. Then there is the set list, which combines newies from Aphrodite with plenty of old favourites.
Melbourne ex-pats Gypsy & The Cat are the unlikely support act. Pop princess meets indie darlings? Interesting!
Tickets for the following shows go on sale from March 15.
3 June 2011 – Entertainment Centre, Brisbane
7 & 8 June 2011 – Entertainment Centre, Sydney
14 & 15 June 2011 – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
18 June 2011 – Entertainment Centre, Adelaide
22 June 2011 – Burswood Dome, Perth

When Kylie Minogue released her single “All the Lovers” in June, we said the sexy music video was the best part about it. But it seems that several Asian countries don’t agree as they’ve banned the raunchy clip from their screens.
Television stations in several countries including Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia won’t play the music video which features “all the lovers,” gay and straight indulging in a serious make-out session.
“I think, yes, it’s sexy but I also think it’s very touching and sensual and the message is love,” Kylie told Spanish private television station Cuatro when quizzed about the controversy.
I have to agree with her. It’s sexy but hardly pornographic. This sort of thing just makes you glad to live in (mostly) open-minded Australia, and in a world with the internet where anyone can see anything they please! So if you haven’t watched it yet, here it is for your viewing pleasure!
Kylie Minogue is showing her Christmas spirit, donating part of the proceeds from the sales of her A Kylie Christmas digital single to Vision Australia. This charity helps children with little to no eyesight.
The single is just the thing for making you feel a little bit more festive, with Kylie’s versions of “Santa Baby” and “Let it Snow.”

Melbourne music fans got lucky last night when Kylie Minogue joined old pals Scissor Sisters on stage at Festival Hall.
Kylie joined the British dance band for “Any Which Way,” and then returned to the stage during the encore for a stripped back performance of her latest single “All The Lovers.” You can see that on the video below. As with most live recordings the quality isn’t perfect, but it’s still worth persevering with for the fans who missed out!
With Danni Minogue about ready to pop with baby number one, it’s no great surprise that her sister Kylie will be back on home soil soon to play aunty. With her album Aphrodite hitting stores on July 2, it’s also no surprise to hear Miss Minogue will hit the promotional trail while she’s in Oz.
Kylie will launch her five-day media blitz on July 21. There’s no word yet on what that will entail, or whether fans will have the chance to get up close and personal, but I promise to bring you all the details when they come to hand.
Here’s our first look at the official film clip for Kylie Minogue’s latest single “All The Lovers.” The music video shows us just that, with plenty of good looking young people making out while wearing very little clothing! The song itself is a bit Kylie-by-numbers, but the sexy visuals make the video worth watching at least once.
Kylie Minogue’s website has gone into meltdown with the announcement that her next album will be named Aphrodite. I guess that’s what happens when you make an announcement that you’ll make an announcement a day before to generate some hype!
At any rate, Kylie’s 11th studio album will hit record stores on July 5. It will be launched with the single “All The Lovers,” which gets a June 28 release.
If you can’t wait that long, check out this 30-second teaser video. I must say what’s here kind of hurts my ears, but spin it in a club and I might be interested. I’ll reserve my judgement until I hear the vocals; Kylie’s always had a knack of hooking me in with a catchy chorus.
Happy Easter Sounds of Oz readers! To celebrate the big day I thought I’d post the only Aussie Easter related song I could think of, Kylie Minogue’s “Chocolate.” She’s singing about the Cadbury egg variety, right?
At any rate, I hope you all have a wonderful Easter!
