Samantha Jade Tops ARIA Singles Charts

X Factor winner Samantha Jade has soared into the ARIA countdown to claim the top spot on the singles charts. Samantha Jade’s debut song “What You’ve Done to Me” achieved gold status in just two days, and wasn’t challenged for the number one.

She’s keeping company in the singles chart with her X Factor mentor Guy Sebastian. His latest release “Get Along” zoomed from number 34 all the way up to number five this week. Talk about a big mover!

Guy’s also the best performing Aussie on the albums charts. Armageddon’s jumped up one place this week to sit at number four.

Guy Sebastian Continues Singles Reign

Another week gives us another Aussie number one album, but Guy Sebastian continues his reign on the singles charts. “Battle Scars” continues to perform, making it the equal best performing number one for the year with Flo Rida’s “Wild Ones.” Meanwhile Pink’s The Truth About Love is her fourth consecutive album to debut at number one. It bumped off The Amity Affliction’s Chasing Ghosts, which has fallen all the way down to number 15 this week.

We have seen some impressive album debuts by up and coming local acts though. The Rubens’ self-titled album has rocketed in to the charts at number three, while Aussie hip hopper Seth Sentry is sitting at number six on debut with This Was Tomorrow.

The Sapphires and The Presets round out the local talent in the top 10. The soundtrack from the Aussie flick is steady at number seven this week, while The Presets’ latest release Pacifica has fallen from number three to 10.
Again we see Justice Crew keeping Guy Sebastian company in the singles top 10. Their unstoppable song “Boom Boom” sits at number seven after a massive three months on the charts.

Guy Sebastian Equals Chart Record

Guy Sebastian has retained the top spot on the ARIA singles chart for the third consecutive week with “Battle Scars.” That equals his best chart performance, as “Angels Brought Me Here” also stayed at number one for three weeks way back in 2003. Do you think “Battle Scars” can eclipse its success?

The news isn’t quite as good for the cast of The Sapphires, as the soundtrack’s been bumped from the number one spot by Birdy. However it’s still at number two, which is no small feat.

Birdy’s doing great things on the singles charts too. She’s pushed Justice Crew out of the number two spot, but their track “Boom Boom” is still going gangbusters with a number three finish this week.

Timomatic’s enjoyed a big chart debut. His self-titled album has clinched the third spot on the albums chart. It’s sitting ahead of longstanding chart favourites The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle by Missy Higgins (4) and My Journey by Karise Eden (6).

Guy Sebastian & The Sapphires Number Ones for Second Week

Aussie artists Guy Sebastian and the team from The Sapphires have maintained their dominance of the ARIA Charts this week. For the second week we see Guy’s “Battle Scars” at the top of the singles charts, and The Sapphires soundtrack at number one on the albums charts.

Justice Crew have also maintained the pressure on the singles charts. Their monster hit “Boom Boom” holds steady at number two.

Ricki-Lee’s new album Fear & Freedom has made a big impact in its first week with a number seven debut. Meanwhile Missy Higgins and Karise Eden are hanging onto the top ten by their fingernails. The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle is at number 9, and My Journey’s at number 10.

Guy Sebastian and The Sapphires Top ARIA Charts

There’s some local joy on the ARIA charts this week, with two local releases topping the singles and ARIA charts.

The Justice Crew’s “Boom Boom” vacated the number one spot on the singles chart, but Guy Sebastian was only too happy to take their place with his new one, “Battle Scars.” Justice Crew are still respectable at the number two spot.

Meanwhile The Sapphires soundtrack has jumped up to push Ed Sheeran off the top spot on the albums charts. It’s keeping company in the top ten with fellow Aussies Adam Brand, Missy Higgins, and Karise Eden. There Will Be Love sits at number four, The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle is at number six, and My Journey’s at number seven.

Justice Crew Still Tops

Justice Crew’s “Boom Boom” continues to do great business this week. The Aussie dance crew turned musical juggernaut is again sitting at the top spot on the ARIA Charts.

Karise Eden’s reign at the top has finally ended. While Ed Sheeran’s + nudged her out of number one, My Journey’s only slipped slightly to sit at number two.

Pointing to some success at the box office, the soundtrack for local comedy-drama The Sapphires sits at number five on the albums charts. That pushes Missy Higgins The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle down to six. It’s one better than Hilltop Hoods’ Drinking from the Sun, which has made a big jump from number 24 to number seven.

Karise Eden Racks Up Six Weeks on Top

It’d be boring if it wasn’t so fabulous. Karise Eden has beat out the competition to take the top spot on the ARIA chart for the sixth consecutive week.

Her fellow Voice finalist Darren Percival has slipped to eighth position with his album Happy Home. It was happier news for Missy Higgins though, who jumped up to number five with her current album The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle.

It seems all my wishing and hoping paid off, as Justice Crew have jumped to the top spot on the ARIA singles charts with “Boom Boom.” It’s a good thing too, because again they’re the only Aussie act in the top 10!

Karise Eden Still Number One

Karise Eden’s album My Journey doesn’t seem ready to vacate the top spot on the ARIA charts any time soon. It’s again at number one, and with a tour looming I predict it’ll stay put for a while.

Her fellow Voice finalist Darren Percival showed he’s got staying power, with his album Happy Home retaining its number three possie. The other Voice finalists have slipped quietly out of the top ten, so it’s exciting to see the final two holding their ground.

While we don’t see the same glut of local talent in the albums charts this week, Angus Stone’s still doing great things with Broken Brights which sits at number four. Missy HigginsThe Ol’ Razzle Dazzle has risen to number six, while Keith Urban’s still hanging around with The Story So Far at number ten.

Justice Crew have jumped several places this week to land at number two on the singles charts with “Boom Boom.” Can they topple fun. next week?

The Voice Artists Dominate ARIA Charts

Karise Eden remains on top of the ARIA Albums Chart this week, but her fellow Voice finalists have challenged her for the number one possie.

The remaining top four contestants have all enjoyed top ten debuts for their album releases. Runner-up Darren Percival landed at number three with his disc Happy Home, Rachel Leahcar’s Shooting Star sits at number five, while Sarah De Bono shouldn’t feel embarrassed by her number seven debut with No Shame.

In a bumper week for Aussie albums, it’s not just the reality TV stars shining. Angus Stone’s solo endeavour Broken Brights took out the number two spot, while all The Voice action saw Keith Urban’s The Story So Far pushed down to number eight. Missy Higgins continues to hang on to the top ten by her fingernails. The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle is again at number ten.

In contrast the singles chart looks pretty bare. Why don’t we support homegrown songs? Thank goodness for Justice Crew, who are representing with “Boom Boom.” It sits at number seven.

Reece Mastin & Karise Eden Top ARIA Charts

It’s not likely to silence critics, but local reality TV show graduates have taken the top spots on Australia’s major ARIA charts. Karise Eden’s My Journey album has maintained its number one possie, while reigning X Factor winner Reece Mastin’s nabbed the top single spot with his newie “Shout It Out.”

Again proving their musical might, the singers from the Hillsong Church have zoomed into the albums charts with their latest release Cornerstone. It sits at number two. Keith Urban’s greatest hits also continues to sell truckloads. The Story So Far holds steady at number three.
