Sewell Siblings Playing Bloodline Shows

The ultra-talented Sewell siblings – Conrad Sewell and his sister Grace Sewell (Saygrace) – are teaming up for some intimate shows in the major capitals next June. The tour announcement comes off the back of the release of Conrad’s gorgeous new single, “Deserve.”

“We’ve always wanted to tour together, but our schedules never aligned – Grace being in LA and me being in Australia made it pretty tough. It finally feels like the right moment in both of our careers to share the stage and make this happen,” Conrad said. “We’ll both be bringing our own sets, but the real magic happens when we come together – harmonies, stripped-back versions of our songs, and a few surprises we’ve never done publicly before. It’s a celebration of family, storytelling, and the music that shaped us – this tour is all about connection: with each other, with our fans, and with the songs that mean the most to us.”

Conrad Sewell Back to His Best With “Ferris Wheel”

It’s been five years since Conrad Sewell charted in this country. If there’s any justice, we’ll see him back in the top 10 with the release of his fantastic new single “Ferris Wheel”. It’s the definition of radio-friendly, ultra-catchy, upbeat goodness.

“’Ferris Wheel’ is a song about a second chance, never giving up on your dream, life, or love,” he explained. “Life is hard but you never know what’s around the corner. I wanted the song to have a very nostalgic 90s feel to it and really paint that picture.”

When you’re taking a listen, make sure you let the rest of his new tracks play out. They’re all brilliant, suggesting Conrad’s new album Precious, which drops on March 3, will be awesome. Conrad is currently on tour. Catch him at the following venues at the end of the month:

Conrad Sewell Releases Another Super Track From LIFE

The hits keep on coming from Conrad Sewell’s LIFE album. If you weren’t one of the music lovers who took this album to the top of the charts, make sure you take a listen to his new single “Big World.” I think this might be my favourite on the album, a sentiment that I share with Conrad himself!

“I wanted to write a song that summed up my life to date, and how many up and downs you go through to make your dreams come true,” he explained. “Starting from the day I was born, ending with what I want written on my gravestone. It’s a song that really sums me up as a person, from my love of the ‘90s and California to the fact I think anything is possible in this great big world of ours.”

Jimmy Barnes Makes Aussie Chart History With “My Criminal Record”

Jimmy Barnes has smashed records this week, becoming the artist with the most number one albums on the ARIA charts in history. His latest album My Criminal Record debuted at number one, becoming his 12th chart-topper. The feat sees him pass Madonna and U2, who both have 11 number ones to their name.

“The songs on this album are really personal because they were inspired by the experiences I had writing and touring my memoirs,” shared Jimmy. “Having this music strike a chord with people therefore feels particularly good. I’m grateful to everyone who’s continued to support me over the years and I’m looking forward to screaming my thanks in person when I get back out on the road shortly.”

He’s coming company with fellow countryman Conrad Sewell’s, whose beautiful debut album Life sits at number eight this week.

Unfortunately there are no Aussies in the top ten singles. In fact, we don’t see an Aussie appearance until Hilltop Hoods, who sit at number 23 with “Exit Sign.” There is so much great Aussie music around at the moment. Start downloading and streaming it people!

Conrad Sewell Tops Albums Charts

Conrad Sewell has become the latest Aussie to top the album charts. His long-awaited debut Life, which features the number one singles “Start Again” and “Healing Hands,” stormed straight to number one in its first week of release this week.

“This is a dream come true, it’s taken me such a long time to get this album out and it means so much to know that people are enjoying it,” he said. “It’s not easy for an Australian artist to get a number one album on debut, I’m completely humbled and I’m really going to soak up this moment, it’s taken me a long time to get here.”

Conrad’s keeping company with Dean Lewis, whose album A Place We Knew is still in the top 10 nine weeks after its release. It falls a few positions to sit at number nine this week.

Conrad Sewell Celebrates “Life” With Art Show, Instores, & Tour

Conrad Sewell has made a career singing tug-at-the-heartstrings ballads that stir the soul. He’s at it again with his latest single “Life,” the title track from his forthcoming debut album.

The album Life hits Australia on May 17. Conrad will mark its release with an art exhibition in Sydney on May 16. Photographers were invited to submit their works which represent the meaning of life. The ones an expert creative panel featuring Conrad himself like best will be displayed on the night. Conrad will also showcase some of the album’s tracks on the night.

While the launch is exclusively for VIPs, Conrad is giving fans plenty of opportunities to see him in the coming weeks. He will play shows all around Australia and North America to celebrate Life’s release. If you missed out on tickets, or you just want to get up close and personal with the man himself, he’s playing a bunch of old-school shopping centre instores leading up to the tour. Conrad Sewell Strikes Gold Again With “Changing”

Conrad Sewell is asserting himself as one of Australia’s best new singer-songwriters. It seems like only yesterday he released “Healing Hands,” but he’s quickly followed it up with “Changing,” a track that is every bit as powerful as the one that came before.

“‘Changing’ is a super vulnerable and emotional record for me,” Conrad explained. “I wrote it right when I was deep in a relationship and realised that I was ruining it. My actions and my addictions were starting to affect her. I would come home and see her crying… she was always upset. She wasn’t the same person that she was when we first started dating and I felt like it was because of me and the way that I was acting. So this is really me apologising for everything I’ve done and telling her to never change for anyone – you’re perfect the way you are. Especially don’t change for me, because I wasn’t worth it at the time.”

I’ve always appreciated Conrad’s music, but his latest crop of songs, which are so confessional and confronting, really strike a chord with me. The sky is certainly the limit for this talented Aussie.

John Farnham and Olivia Newton-John On Top of ARIA Albums Charts

I’ve been a bit lax on reporting Aussie chart news of late. I missed writing about when Grace topped the charts, and when her brother Conrad Sewell followed suit. But as John Farnham clocked up his ninth number one album with Two Strong Hearts, I figured I really needed to make the time. Farnsy’s now scored number ones (whether singles or albums) every decade for the last six decades. And let’s not forget about his partner in crime, Olivia Newton-John, who’s now scored her third number one on the albums charts.

Empires, the latest album from Hillsong United, is still going strong. The modern church’s latest effort is at number five, six weeks after its debut.

Blacktown deathcore band Thy Art is Murder will also be happy with their first ever top ten appearance. Their third album, Holy War, sits at number seven on debut.

Conrad and Grace might have slipped away from the number one spots but they’re still making their presence felt on the singles chart. Conrad’s single “Start Again” has slipped slightly to number three while Grace’s cover of “You Don’t Own Me” has fallen to number eight.
