Molly Millington Releases Emotional Single, “Greener Than Me”

Molly Millington has captured my heart with her latest track “Greener Than Me.” Written in the aftermath of a breakup with a friend, it’s both heartbreaking and life-affirming.

“‘Greener Than Me’ is about a friendship breakup I went through and honestly it was the worst, more than any romantic breakup I’d experienced. At the start I was really hurt with how it was dealt with, so I wrote this song instead of retaliating. Now I’m not as close to it, it was probably worse,” Molly admitted. “I miss this person at the most random times. I have their writing tattooed on me, so it’s pretty hard to forget them. I could get it removed but I don’t regret that person, so I’m keeping it.”

“Greener Than Me” is the latest release from Molly’s forthcoming debut album, Frank Morgan, which drops on February 27.

Molly Millington Releases New Pop Gem, “Your Villain”

Molly Millington made lemonade out of lemons when she wrote “Your Villain.” This fabulous song came out of a really tough time for Molly. You can hear that when you tune into the lyrics, but they’re wrapped up in such a shimmery pop melody that you might miss the darkness unless you’re listening for it.

“This song was written cathartically to make light of a pretty heavy situation. I found myself in a toxic relationship, I left myself behind trying to keep them safe and happy,” Molly recalled. “When I realised I needed to get out, they told me I was selfish. He had me convinced for a little while that I was a bad person, and it took all my strength to snap out of that and realise that just because that was their narrative, it didn’t mean it was true.”

“Your Villain” is the first new music from Molly since she released her 5 Stages EP in 2023, but she won’t leave us waiting too long for more. I hear she’s got plenty of new music to share with us, so make sure you follow her on Instagram to learn about all the new tunes as they drop.

Molly Millington Releases Feelgood Indie Pop Track, “Foreign Accent”

I never dreamed of the white wedding like so many other girls. I didn’t think I was the marrying kind. Instead, I imagined I’d embark on a series of torrid affairs. But then I met a charming American who turned my world upside down, and here we are. So I definitely relate to Molly Millington’s latest indie-pop single, “Foreign Accent.”

“’Foreign Accent’ is about doing things you usually wouldn’t purely because the ways it’s presented is not what you’re used to,” she explained. “For example, saying yes to a marriage proposal because you’re in another country and everything seems more exciting and romantic but then remembering when you get home that you actually don’t believe in marriage and possibly might not even be into men.”

Expect more songs inspired by Molly’s overseas travels and the lessons she learned abroad when her next EP drops later this year.
