The Admired Release Emo-Pop Gem “Fame&Money”

Eora/Sydney duo The Admired are coming at you with a nostalgic new emo-pop banger, “Fame&Money.” Its 2000s vibes should get you bopping in your seat, if you can resist taking a full dance break! It’s less than two and a half minutes of musical goodness.

Frontwoman Bianca Davino said “Fame&Money” is “the spark that really kicked off our direction for The Admired,” so if you’re not already on board with their music it’s a great introduction.

Bianca and guitarist Max Jacobson did some serious heavy lifting here, writing, performing, producing, and engineering the track in their home studio. Nat Sherwood (BESTIES, Stand Atlantic, Yours Truly) took care of mastering duties.

“Fame&Money” is the last of three tracks that make up The Admired’s mini-EP, appropriately titled 3 songs. They plan to build on their sound and record a new EP this year.

The Admired Release Nostalgic Anthem, “All I’ve Got”

Eora/Sydney pop-punk act The Admired are taking you right back to the 2010s with their anthemic new pop-punk single “All I’ve Got.” Vocalist and guitarist Bianca Davino describes this banger as “a love letter to growing up online in the Tumblr era.” So if you remember that time fondly, I know this one will resonate with you.

“I wanted to shine a light on the innocence and passion of that time, and how it’s a feeling that we will always strive to capture in our music and why we do this,” she explained. “At our shows I’ve been saying it’s about ‘skipping class to go and follow [Sleeping with Sirens’ frontman] Kellin Quinn around the city when he was here for Soundwave in 2013’, which is obviously a niche reference, but for those who know the vibes … they know lol.”

Hometown fans can see The Admired support GRXCE at The Vanguard on December 11. Tickets are still available through Moshtix.

The Admired Release Dreamy Emo-Pop Single “Dancefloor”

Eora/Sydney emo-pop act The Admired are serving up serious nostalgia with their latest single “Dancefloor.” Press play and let yourself be transported back to the dances of your youth!

Vocalist Bianca Davino says the single “captures the feeling of landing exactly where you’re meant to be, even if just for a fleeting moment. It’s not about ticking off major milestones, but rather finding magic in just living the artist’s life. For the song’s protagonist, fulfilment comes from meeting fascinating people or being at a culturally significant event.”

Bianca wrote the lyrics for “Dancefloor” from the perspective of a protagonist that embodies an idealised version of herself.

“I wanted to create a character who fully embodies the part of me that wishes to be the ‘it girl’ at the most exciting events — someone completely immersed in the moment, unconcerned with the future. She’s a projection of who I sometimes wish I could be, even though I know I’m not naturally like that. I may be too anxious about the future, but I can create someone who isn’t and live as her for 3 minutes when I sing this song.”

“Dancefloor” comes from The Admired’s upcoming mini EP, which we’ll hear later this year.
