After working on it since she was 17, Eora/Sydney-based singer Milina Mihic has finally released her beautiful new single “Stay With Me.” It’s a delicate yet emotionally charged song that’s full of pain and yearning.
“Stay With Me is about not getting the chance to better yourself in a relationship,” she said. “There have been many times in my life where I’ve felt as though I never got the chance to explain my side of a story. It’s hard when your actions are taken at face value and there is no benefit of the doubt.
“I also wrote this song about realising it takes two people to ruin a relationship, and coming to terms with the fact that yes, I can be wrong, but I don’t need to be the villain. This song became a part of my story when I was 17 and first navigating relationships alone. It was my anthem then, and it’s my anthem now.”
“Stay With Me” comes from Milina’s debut EP The Man You Remember, which she’ll release on July 21.
