Thirsty Merc Announce Mousetrap Heart Tour

I recently brought you a live and acoustic take of Thirsty Merc’s new single “Mousetrap Heart.” Now the band has unleashed an official film clip for the song which gets its official release today.

To celebrate the band has announced a bunch of dates all around the country. It’s been far too long since I’ve seen the Thirsty Merc boys doing their thing live, so I might just have to get myself to one of these shows! Tickets for the following gigs are on sale now.

Scissor Sisters Announce Splendour Sideshows

If you can’t get yourself to Splendour in the Grass, or you’re just keen for another serve, you’ll be happy to know Scissor Sisters have announced a couple of sideshows.

The eclectic UK outfit will make their way to Sydney and Melbourne for gigs in late July to promote their soon-to-be released album Night Works.

Tickets for the shows go on sale on May 28.

Washington Tours Debut Album with Beautiful Girls

InStyle And Audi Women Of Style Awards

Washington, the thinly veiled alter ego of Vanda and Young songwriting competition victor Megan Washington, will play dates to support the release of her debut album, cheekily titled I Believe You, Liar.

The shows are a mix of full band shows and solo dates, including a swag of concerts supporting Beautiful Girls.
If you like what you hear make sure you pick up I Believe You, Liar when it hits stores on July 30.

Sienna Skies Score Closure in Moscow Support Slot

Sydney experimental act Sienna Skies are having a bumper year, with the release of their debut album Truest of Colors and endorsement deals with SJC Drums, Schecter Guitars, and The Guitar Factory.

To cap all that off, the band will support Melbourne progressive rock act Closure in Moscow on their Sydney dates later this month. This comes in addition to Sienna Skies own shows. If you’re in Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, and Western Australia stay tuned; the lads promise to announce some dates in your states too.

Michael Buble Gives Australia Crazy Love

Canadian crooner Michael Buble is making things really easy for men hoping to ingratiate themselves next Valentine’s Day. He’s announced an Aussie tour for next February and March.

It seems fitting for Mickey to return to Oz, a country he clearly loves, for his Crazy Love tour, at a time when everyone’s thinking about love. Don’t you just adore the synchronicity?

There are nine dates announced so far, but with plenty of space in between I’m betting that this won’t be the final tour schedule. Tickets for the following shows go on sale from the regular outlets on February 28.

Mark Moldre Takes “The Waiting Room” On the Road

This month Mark Moldre will take the dreamy alternative folk songs from The Waiting Room on the road for the first leg of his East Coast tour.

Mark will be joined on stage by drummer Scott Hutchings, bass player Reuben Wills, and his regular right-hand man Adam Lang, who brings an eclectic bunch of instruments including banjo, glockenspiel, lap slide guitar, and whatever else can fit in the tour bus!

Dionne Warwick Brings World Tour to Oz

When you’ve still got it, you’ve still got it. And Dionne Warwick definitely has. Nearly 50 years since she released her debut single “Don’t Make Me Over,” Dionne will bring her world tour to Australia in July.

We can expect Dionne to belt out all the hits backed by a full band, including “Walk On By,” “Anyone Who Had a Heart,” “Do You Know The Way to San Jose,” “Say a Little Prayer,” and many, many, many more.

Tickets go on sale this Friday for the following intimate shows.

Boys Like Girls and Hot Chelle Rae Unite for Aussie Tour

Boston pop-rockers Boys Like Girls are joining Nashvile quartet Hot Chelle Rae for one big Aussie tour this July.

The spunky lads from Boys Like Girls are here to promote their sophomore album Love Drunk, which features the top 100 single of the same name. The disc is the ideal showcase for the band’s catchy hooks and rich sound. It’s not often bands marry traditional rock instruments with electronic sounds and a string section, but that’s just what makes this one so intriguing.

Hot Chelle Rae are another act on the rise. Riding high on rave reviews for their dance-rock debut album Lovesick Electric, the band are a great addition to the bill.

Next time these musos tour here they’ll be doing so in much bigger venues. Make sure you get in this time around when tickets go on sale on May 7.

Powderfinger Sell Out Concerts Around Australia

If you hoped to catch Powderfinger on their final tour, you might be out of luck. Tickets were snapped up quickly this morning; shows sold out in minutes, and when more were added many of those sold out just as fast.

As we write, here’s what the Sunsets tour schedule’s looking like. If you want to see any of those shows that aren’t sold out, I suggest nabbing tickets quick smart. More shows may be added, but I wouldn’t want to wait around and find out!
