All Regards Get Angsty With “resist”

After making an impact with their pop-punk-influenced track “discontent” in January, Victorian rockers All Regards have delivered their follow-up, “resist.” This one is a bit grittier, with a heavier sound that’ll appeal to the emo fans out there. Like its predecessor, “resist” explores feelings of anxiety and angst against the backdrop of the modern world.

“I wrote the lyrics for ‘resist’ as a direct response to the lyrics Stefan [Sepulveda, co-vocalist] wrote for ‘discontent’ in which he wrote about the state of the world from his perspective,” explained Jeremy Allen, who shares the band’s frontman duties. “It inspired me to do the same which is why both singles are so intrinsically linked together. ‘resist’ for the most part is an honest take on how frustrated one can become with external and internal factors within the world, and that it may not be the picture-perfect life planned out for one’s self. It’s also a call to arms that if there is something you want to change to better yourself and you have the power to do it, quit complaining and fight the good fight to turn things around.”

All Regards will celebrate the release of both “resist” and “discontent” tonight with a big double-single launch at the Workers Club in Naarm/Melbourne tonight. You’re not forgotten either Eora/Sydney. All Regards will play Last Words Emo Night at Bootleggers on April 2.

All Regards Release Rock Anthem, “discontent”

I wouldn’t normally go so hard on a Sunday as I understand many of you are nursing sore heads, but I had to share “discontent,” the latest single from Naarm/Melbourne All Regards. So it may not be your usual laidback weekend folky fare, but it’s so good that I think you really need to get your ears around it.

Speaking of the inspiration for “discontent,” All Regards’ co-vocalist Stefan Sepulveda said “I think a lot of people (myself included at times) feel overwhelmed by the state of the world and the never-ending cycle of conflict and disasters, both natural and man-made. There have been times in my life where I’ve felt that there is no hope for positive change and been resigned to just watching everything turn to shit.

“The problem with that is that it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy – and that’s the message of the song, if you sit there waiting for the world to burn then that’s exactly what you’re going to get. So together with the next single ‘resist’, there’s a real call to action to get out and create positive change in whatever ways you can.”

All Regards aren’t wasting time getting both songs into the world. “resist” will be released next month before the band launches both songs with a massive hometown show at the Worker’s Club on March 27. Their EP launch sold out in 2024, so make sure you don’t sleep on tickets for this one when they go on sale.

All Regards Tease New EP With “FALLBACK” Single

With a new EP scheduled for release next week, there’s no better time to tune in to All Regards’ monster new single “FALLBACK.”

“’FALLBACK’ is about hoping you’ve gotten away from your demons, whether that’s a toxic relationship with yourself, a friend, or a substance, but knowing deep down that you haven’t,” the band explained. “It’s about the feeling of knowing that despite your efforts or intentions, you’re going to fall right back into the same self-destructive patterns and being kind of resigned to it.”

All Regards’ new EP ALL OUR DREAMS TURN TO NIGHTMARES drops on November 1. All Regards will officially launch the EP with a show for hometown fans at Bergy Bandroom on November 22.

All Regards Release Powerful Single “Let Me Down (Gently)”

All Regards have really touched me with their latest single “Let Me Down (Gently)”. It’s a powerful exploration of grief that’s bound to hit you too if you’re going through any sort of loss.

“Each of us in the last couple of years has had instances where we’ve gone through grieving for something or someone that was incredibly important to us,” the band explained. “Whether you are grieving the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship/friendship, or the end of a certain time in your life. It does not discriminate who it affects.”

All Regards will join fellow Naarm/Melbourne rock act Dear Reckless when they launch their latest single “Anchors” at The Last Chance Rock & Roll Bar on October 11. Tickets are on sale now through Oztix.
