Boorloo/Perth-based new-wave bands Classic Face are unleashing a wave of nostalgia with their debut single “Pneumasthmatic.”
You can hear the influences of classic acts like Talking Heads and Devo along with newer artists like LCD Soundsystem in “Pneumasthmatic.” I was instantly hooked by its bright synths and driving drums, but the more times I listen the more I appreciate the lyrics which explore themes of anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and perseverance.
