Lucid Safari Impress With “Running”

If you’re feeling that midweek slump, take a moment to press play on “Running,” the latest track from Meeanjin/Brisbane-based rockers Lucid Safari. It’s such a fabulous feel-good track from a band that seem destined for big things.

“‘Running’ is about that ache you feel for someone you never really got the chance to know. It’s that unspoken connection that lingers, the one that got away before anything real could even start,” explained Lucid Safari’s lead singer, Daniel Lewis. “You’re replaying moments, chasing fragments and memories that never quite left you. Underneath the energy of the song, there’s a quiet kind of longing about how time moves on, people change, but some feelings just stay with you.”

Discovering “Running” has sent me down a little rabbit hole listening to all of the most recent Lucid Safari’s releases, and I am so impressed. Hopefully we hear plenty more these guys in 2026.

Lucid Safari Brings Summer Vibes With “Waiting For the Sun”

It’s not quite December, but it seems like summer’s already here. That makes it the perfect time for listening to a track like “Waiting for the Sun”, the latest single from Meeanjin/Brisbane band Lucid Safari. Just see if you’re not singing along with the “whoas” by the end of it.

“As well as welcoming back the sunny season, the song reflects the feeling of living through the ebbs and flows of life knowing that when times are tough, good things are sure to come back around,” explained Lucid Safari’s frontman Daniel Lewis.

Lucid Safari have been playing plenty of hometown gigs lately, including a double-header single launch with The Urban Sea and a show supporting Reece Mastin. Hopefully it’s not too long before they pack up the van and head to venues around the rest of the country.
